ASSOC. PROF. EMRAH AYDIN
MD, PhD, MSc, MBA
Pediatric and Fetal Surgeon
I am an associate professor at the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University School of Medicine. I am working as a pediatric surgeon consultant at the clinics and giving lectures to medical students at the School of Medicine. I am also advising two master students and a Ph.D. candidate at Mathematical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University and another Ph.D. candidate at Cellular and Molecular Medicine at Koç University Graduate School of Health Sciences. I run my laboratory in the university.
My main field of interest is the prenatal and postnatal management of congenital diaphragmatic hernia. My research interests also include prenatal diagnostic markers and imaging modalities of congenital diseases and the development of new fetal therapeutic interventions. I want to be a pioneer in improving child health beginning from the prenatal period and transform the delivery of care through fully integrated, globally recognized research, education, and innovation.
